State anti-narcotics operatives and local police on Thursday night seized P100,000 worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu, from two alleged drug personalities in Panglao town.

The composite team led by operatives of the police’s Drug Enforcement Unit (1st District) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 7 allegedly confiscated the contraband from Generos Tubio, Jr., 25, and Corsino Dolauta, 42, both residents of Dauis town.

They arrested both men and seized the drug stash through a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Bolod at around 8:30 p.m.

In a report, police said that both men sold shabu worth P1,000 to an undercover agent leading to their immediate arrest.

Operatives allegedly recovered from both men 10 small and one medium-sized packets of shabu.

The seized drugs were estimated to be worth 15 grams.

According to authorities, both men are now under the custody of the Panglao Police Station.

They are set to be charged with violations against Section 5 and Section 11 of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (C. Remolador)
