Policemen of the Provincial Public Safety Company (PPSC) arrested on Friday a newly identified drug personality in a buy-bust operation at the Newport Oak Pension Inn, along M. Torralba St., Tagbilaran City.
The operatives led by Supt. Patricio Degay, PPSC chief, were able to seize five grams of suspected shabu estimated to be worth P20,000 from the suspect .
According to a police report, the suspect identified as Armando Lamoste, a resident of Brgy. Cogon, Tagbilaran City, sold shabu worth P500 to an undercover cop.
Lamoste reportedly ran from apprehending officers during the bust, but was immediately restrained by nearby police officers.
He is currently locked up at the detention facility of Camp Dagohoy in Tagbilaran City while authorities are preparing to file charges against him for violations of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Willy Maestrado and Rey Tutas)
