A 17-year-old alleged drug pusher was shot and wounded by police after resisting arrest during a buy-bust operation in Tagbilaran City on Saturday dawn.
The buy-bust was conducted by anti-narcotics units of the Tagbilaran City police near the suspect’s residence in Purok 5, Brgy. Manga, Tagbilaran City.
According to police, the suspect suddenly became suspicious after a drug transaction with an undercover cop.
The alleged drug dealer, along with his companions, reportedly ran from police and pulled out his .45 caliber pistol prompting backup units stationed in the buy-bust area to shoot the suspect.
He was hit in the leg and rushed to a nearby hospital while his companions were able escape arrest.
Police recovered from the suspect’s possession seven packets of suspected shabu and the .45 caliber pistol.
The minor is currently in the custody of Tagbilaran City police. (Rey Tutas)Â
