The Diocses of Tagbilaran is set to turn over 30 houses to victims of the 2013 Bohol Earthquake on Sunday as part of its diamond jubilee.
According to Fr. Agerio Paña, chancellor of the Diocese of Tagbilaran, 30 certificates of ownership will be given to families who were displaced by the quake that jolted Bohol three years ago.
Paña said that the official turnover ceremony will be held at the Bohol Cultural Center during the launch of the diocese’s “Breaking Bread through Sevice†program.
The initiative is among the diocese’s charity projects for the celebration of its 75th anniversary which will be commemorated through a three-day celebration which starts on Sunday.
Paña added that the event will be attended by clergy from across the country and including bishops and other high-ranking Church officials.
The Diocese of Tagbilaran had already donated 200 houses through its Bohol Rehabilitation and Rebuilding Project in three years. (Rey Tutas)
