A woman was convicted of involvement in illegal numbers game or illegal swertres and was sentenced to 30 days in prison, police said.
Margie Estares, a 38-year-old resident of Brgy. Mayacabac, Dauis, was guilty of violating Republic Act 9287 known as An Act Increasing the Penalties for Illegal Numbers Games.
Estares surrendered to police on Wednesday after finding out that there was a pending arrest warrant against her.
She was temporarily detained at the lock-up jail of the Tagbilaran City police and was transferred to the Bohol District Jail in Cabawan, Tagbilaran City as ordered by a court.  (W. Maestrado)
