The City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (CAIDSOTG) seized several packs of shabu from three drug personalities, including a woman, during a buy-bust operation at noontime yesterday inside a pension house.
The CAIDSOTG led by SPO4 Yolando Bagotchay Jr. of Tagbilaran City Police Station arrested Elmer Ugat, Michelle Gaude and Paul Anthony Baysic inside KODE Inn Pension House in barangay Cogon after the buy-bust operation.
 The police officers confiscated from them the 500-peso bill used as marked money and two small sachets of shabu which they handed during the entrapment.
During the search incidental to their arrest, Bagotchay’s team further recovered 11 more small sachets of shabu, an opened medium pack of shabu, a transparent cellophane containing cellophane strips, a straw used as improvised scoop, lighter and cash in different denominations amounting P520.
Bagotchay estimated the value of shabu seized at P30,000.
Meanwhile, the police team of Sagbayan also arrested a drug personality identified as one Menardo Dexter Quiao during a raid at around 4:45 a.m. yesterday.
The Sagbayan police team swooped down his residence based on a search warrant issued by Executive Judge Suceso Arcamo of RTC Branch 47 in Tagbilaran City.
The raiding team recovered a big pack of shabu, and ten small sachets of shabu from Quiao’s possession.
The search was witnessed by Barangay Kagawad Rey Bolo, Barangay Kagawad Hipolita Mier, Gaspar Dangoy of the DOJ, and Quiao’s live-in partner- -Ritchelin Tero.
According to SPO1 Hermes Sanchez, Quiao had been in their watchlist for illegal drugs.
Earlier, the police team of Valencia arrested a wanted person identified as Belmon Toradio in barangay Taytay and recovered several packs of shabu and a caliber 45 pistol.
The police officers came to serve a warrant of arrest against Toradio when they caught him and two others in possession of a large pack, a medium pack and three small sachets containing shabu with estimated value of P45,000; drug paraphernalia; and a caliber 45 pistol with four live ammunitions.
His companions, Rushyl Borba Halop and Joemarie Ranin Mulat were also arrested.
The warrant of arrest against Toradio for an earlier drug case was issued by Judge Sisinio Virtudazo of RTC Branch 4 in Tagbilaran City.
According to the police, Toradio was tagged as No. 1 in the list of newly-identified drug personalities in Valencia.
