‘High-value target’ CAFGU eludes arrest

Policemen of the Provincial Intelligence Branch found two sachets of shabu inside the suspect’s home.

A member of the Civilian Armed Forces Geographical Unit (CAFGU) suspected of involvement in the illegal drug trade eluded arrest during a police operation in Clarin on Wednesday morning.

The suspect, Julito “Gagang” Hayo who is considered to be a “high-value target,” was not at the residence raided by policemen of the Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) at 5:50 a.m.

Operatives led by Police Chief Insp. Rolando Antipolo served the search warrant issued by Executive Judge Suceso Arcamo of the Regional Trial Court Branch 47 at Hayo’s house in Brgy. Poblacion, Clarin.

Authorities said that they found two packs of white crystalline substance believed to be shabu inside the house.

The police raid was witnessed by the suspect’s mother, Department of Justice representative Gaspar Dangoy and members of media. (Rey Tutas)
