National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents were led to a trail of drug suppliers on Wednesday after arresting an alleged drug pusher in Barangay Booy, Tagbilaran City.

The operatives were able to collar a noted drug dealer and his supplier in separate operations but another drug personality suspected of running a bigger operation was able to elude arrest.

The first nabbed suspect, Felix Ignario, a known drug pusher in said village, directed the NBI operatives to his drug supplier after he was arrested in a buy-bust operation past 11:00 in the morning.

NBI agents then conducted a hot pursuit of Buma-at’s dealer who was identified as Wilson Busalan resulting in the arrest of the alleged drug supplier at his residence in Purok 4 of the same barangay.

Upon the interrogation of Buma-at and Busalan, the two suspects disclosed to the NBI information on a “bigger drug supplier” identified as Jun-Jun “Jhumong” Pahang prompting agents to conduct another operation.

However, Pahang was reportedly able to escape quickly as he saw the incoming agents through a closed-circuit television camera mounted near the front gate of his residence in Brgy. Mansasa.

No contraband was found inside Pahang’s residence as agents noted that he may have taken his illegal drug stash with him as he escaped.

According to the NBI, Buma-at previously surrendered to police under Oplan Tokhang but continued to conduct illegal drug activities. (Allen Doydora)
