The road mishap tally of the Southern Star Bus Transit, Inc. continued to pile up as two more buses of the company figured in separate accidents on Thursday and Friday.
One of the units of the bus firm rammed into a construction crane along a bridge in Barangay Malitbog, Dagohoy at 5:10 p.m. on Friday.
There were no fatalities but four passengers were injured and the front part of the bus was severely damaged.
According to Dagohoy police, the bus lost its brakes while travelling towards Bien Unido.

The driver, 37-year-old Elmar Butron of Brgy. Bicao, Carmen, reportedly avoided collision against an incoming motorcycle as the bus lost its brakes causing it to crash head-on into the crane.
Injured passengers were rushed to a hospital in San Miguel town while Butron and the bus were taken into the custody of Dagohoy police.
On Thursday, another Southern Star bus hit a Toyota Innova head-on along the national highway in Barangay West Canayaon, Garcia Hernandez at 10:15 in the morning.

The town’s chief of police Senior Insp. Rey Olar identified the bus driver as Constantino Lagapa, Jr., a resident of Brgy. Poblacion, Dagohoy.
Olar said that the bus collided with a Toyota Innova driven by Francisco Bersabal who was with his wife Cecile Bersabal during the accident.
