Qualified Capitol employees will be receiving up to P25,000 each before Christmas day after the Provincial Board (PB) approved a supplemental budget on Friday for yearend incentives.
According to Board Member Tomas Abapo Jr., the allocation which was added to the province’s 2016 Annual Investment Plan reached a total of P37,350,000.
The P25,000 is part of the employees’ collective negotiations agreement (CAN).
On top of the CNA incentive, the more than 1,200 regular Capitol employees will also be receiving P5,000 each from the P8.1-million performance enhancement incentive (PEI) and P5,000 as cash gift.
However, contract workers of the provincial government have not been allocated funds for bonuses, according to Abapo.
“Capitol workers under contract are not entitled any of those bonuses since they do not have an employer-empleyee relationship,†he said. (Rey Tutas)
