All roads leading to the new Bohol Airport in Panglao should be ready by 2018.
This was the optimistic forecast of DPWH Sec. Mark Villar relayed to Gov. Edgar Chatto as they discussed infrastructure projects in Bohol over dinner last night.
Sec. Villar and wife, Rep. Emeline Aglipay Villar arrived in the province yesterdayto grace the DIWA partylist scholars gathering at the residence of DIWA regional coordinator Jun Blanco.
Chatto said that upon arrival in the province, Sec. Villar joined DPWH-1 District Engr. Francis Flores to inspect the roads proposed by the provincial government and the Department of Tourism (DOT) for the expansion and concreting to connect to the main Panglao Airport road.
Gov. Chatto discussed with Sec. Villar the Palafox development plan of Panglao some details of which are very useful as guide in making Panlao island ready for new investments . He informed the DPWH secretary of the initial meeting of the Infrastructure Management Advisory Group (IMAG) which he convened to help facilitate the implementation of various projects provincewide.  Â
The IMAG is composed of the governor, the DPWH regional director, the three district engineers, agency representatives and local officials where the projects are located. Some Bohol mayors led by Mayor Baba Yap were also present to meet the Villar couple.
