CMJV officials projected that the under-construction runway, terminal building, and control tower of the airport will be finished early in 2018.
The progress check was also joined by Gov. Edgar Chatto, Provincial Administrator Ae Damalerio and representatives of the Japan Airport Consultants.
They were also accompanied by Peter Dejaresco, former Provincial Tourism Council chairman and Bohol Chronicle Radio Corp. general manager.
The group then inspected K of C Drive in Poblacion 2, the proposed site of the third bridge that will link Tagbilaran City and Panglao Island.
According to Damalerio, the feasibility study and advanced engineering design of the proposed bridge has already started.
He said that the project is being funded by the Department of Public Works and Highways.
The group, led by Pernia, also visited the New Capitol Site and the location of the Governor Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital (GCGMH) in Brgy. Malayo Norte, Cortes.
Groundbreaking for the GCGMH in Cortes is set to be conducted in the first week of January. (Rey Tutas)
