Three crewmen are missing after their pumpboat sank in the Bohol Sea amid big waves as they travelled from Siquijor to Panglao on Monday afternoon.
The men, identified as Shino Dadios, Orly Dadios and Vergel Clarava, all residents of Panglao, were estimated to have gone missing at 2 p.m.
The men reportedly transported tourists to Siquijor and were on their way back to Bohol when the incident happened near the island-barangay of Balicasag.
According to the Panglao Coast Guard, their rescue teams conducted three operations until 9 p.m. yesterday but failed to locate the three men.
The Coast Guard was reportedly still able to contact one of the crewmen at 8 p.m. but communication was lost a few minutes after.
Amid rough seas and warning issued by the state weather bureau, rescue operations continue today. (Allen Doydora)
