A project manager of the Eskaya Beach Resort and Spa was allegedly caught selling illegal drugs by National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents on Saturday evening.
The suspect identified as Kennedy Fernando, a 58-year-old resident of Purok 4, Barangay Maribeles, Dauis, was arrested in a buy-bust operation.
Fernando was reportedly spotted by NBI agents as he was selling drugs on board his car prompting the operatives to set up the sting operation.
The suspect was then arrested after he allegedly sold shabu worth P500 to a female undercover agent.
Authorities said that they found two more packets of suspected shabu in Fernando’s possession.
However, the suspect denied owning the confiscated drugs.
According to NBI executive officer Atty. Arcelito Albao who led the operation, the suspect has long been included in the agency’s drug watch list.
Albao said that charges for possession and sale of illegal drugs will be filed against Fernando. (Weli Maestrado)Â
