Authorities from the Bohol police Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) are preparing to file illegal drug possession charges against the suspects in the killing of Atty. Mia Mascariñas-Green.
According to police, two packs of white crystalline substance allegedly found in the rooms occupied by Llyod Gonzaga and Romarico Benigian at the Alona Embrace Hotel were identified as shabu by the Bohol police crime laboratory.
Police seized the two packs of shabu which reportedly weighed a total of 10.85 grams during a raid against the suspects in Green’s murder at past midnight on Friday.
The suspects were allegedly able to elude arrest as they left the hotel before police operatives were able to implement a search warrant.
Police also found in the two rooms allegedly occupied by the suspects two grenades and firearms.
Illegal gun possession charges are also expected to be filed against the suspects while the confiscated weapons were submitted to a police crime laboratory in Cebu. (W. Maestrado)
