A driver of a public utility multicab plying the downtown-Barangay Taloto route in Tagbilaran City was shot dead by an unidentified motorcycle-riding gunman on Wednesday.
Victim Isidro “Sonny Boy†Agunod Sr., a 44-year-old resident of Villas St. of said village, was shot twice while driving his multicab by the lone passenger of a motorcycle along Penaflor Street at 7:30 p.m.
Based on police investigation, the victim’s vehicle then repeatedly swerved before crashing into a gate of a house.
The suspects immediately fled the scene after the shooting, police said.
According to responding policemen, Isidro died on the spot due to bullet wounds in his neck and left shoulder.
Meanwhile, Scene of the Crime Operatives recovered two spent .45 caliber shells at the shooting’s location.
Authorities of the Tagbilaran City criminal investigation section have yet to identify the suspects and motive behind the killing of Isidro as they continue their probe. (Weli Maestrado)
