Bohol-based app developer TarShare and the Bohol Association of Hotels, Resorts, and Restaurants (BAHRR) launched on Wednesday the “Behold Bohol†mobile app, a virtual tour guide for locals and visitors alike.
The inauguration held at the Bohol Tropics Resort in Tagbilaran City was led by Tourism Promotions Board chief operating officer Cesar Montano and Governor Edgar Chatto.
Thomas Redinour of TarShare designed the mobile app to assist its users in locating tourist destinations, restaurants, resorts, dive sites, tours such as island hopping and various rentals.
This can be downloaded through the App Store and Google Play for android phones.
Emergency contact numbers such as those of the Philippine National Police and the Bureau of Fire Protection are also listed in the app.
Dates and information on fiestas in the province are also among the app’s features.
Bohol has been known for its celebration of fiestas of towns and villages and household feasts during the event.
The mobile app inauguration was held during the internal launching of “Behold Bohol†which was also attended by Bohol Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Albert Uy, BAHRR president and Bellevue Resort manager Rommel Gonzales, Provincial Tourism Council chairman Atty. Lucas Nunag, Department of Tourism-7 Director Judy Gabato, Bohol Chronicle Radio Corporation general manager Peter Dejaresco, Bohol First Lady and Balilihan Mayor Pureza Veloso Chatto and members of the Provincial Board.
