The same with the burial procedure of their alleged Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) comrades slain in Inabanga and Clarin, “Abu Asis” and “Abu Ubayda” were also buried in the town where they were killed.

Both suspects, the last of the remnants of the ASG men who entered Bohol in April, were gunned down by authorities and laid to rest in Calape.

The bandits were buried at past 10 a.m today at the Municipal cemetery of Calape after they were killed yesterday in a joint operation of the military and police in Barangay Lawis, Pangangan Island.

Local government officials of the town arranged the burial of the Abu Sayyaf militants.

Like the burial of the other ASG men in Bohol, there were no officials of the Muslim community who went to the cemetery as Asis and Ubayda were buried.

No ceremony was also conducted while their bodies were wrapped in white cloth and enclosed in a cadaver bag.

Both men were buried in the same cemetery where Special Weapons and Tactics operative PO2 Rey Anthony Nazareno was laid to rest after he was killed in the firefight against the bandits in Inabanga last month.

Nazareno was among four casualties in the government side during the encounter.
