A female inmate of the Tagbilaran City Jail who was earlier arrested for suspected illegal drug sale was allegedly caught in possession of shabu inside the detention facility on Saturday morning.
Another drug charge was filed against suspect Rendeth Goloso, a 28-year-old resident of Barangay Dampas, Tagbilaran City, after she was spotted by a jail guard with shabu in her possession.
Reports indicated that Goloso was watering plants outside her cell near the facility’s fence when the jail personnel saw her pick up a packet from the ground.
This was then placed inside a bucket arousing suspicion, reported the guard.
Suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia were found as the jail personnel investigated the contents of the bucket.
The Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO) crime laboratory later on confirmed that the substances inside the packets were indeed shabu.
The contraband weighed a total of 4.05 grams, authorities said.
Earlier, Goloso was arrested by operatives of the BPPO Provincial Intelligence Branch in a buy-bust operation.
Another case for illegal drug possession has been added to the drug complaints already filed against her. (W. Maestrado)
