The armed suspects behind the robbery holdup of P1.7 million from a trusted employee of a copra businessman remain at large
The Crispina Abella Co. was victimized when its company secretary, Juliana Ybanez, 49,arrived at their office in Taloto district and was held up by unidenfitied men who carted away her cash just withdrawn from the bank. The suspects boarded their getaway motorcycle right after they held up the secretary .
Police is not discounting the possibility or an inside job because the holdup was precise and well planned when the victim alighted from the KIA car in Taloto district, this city.
After the heist, the armed men who wore masked (bonnet) and blue jeans rode the red Honda XRM and sepd away towards barangay Manga.
Police found that the closed circuit television (CCTV) of the firm was not functioning when the heist took place.
The firm used to withdraw money from the bank every Friday for weekend’s expenses, Ybañez told the police.
City police chief Psupt George Vale along with PSinp Adriano Bacus, investigator on duty P02 Mendoza and elements of the quick response team responded to the information on the robbery. (rvo)
