An alleged drug personality was arrested in a drug buy-bust in Tagbilaran City on Thursday afternoon while policemen were conducting monitoring operations against suspects in their watch list.

Suspect Rio Catre, a 37-year-old resident of Lindaville Subdivision, Barangay Tiptip, was allegedly caught in possession of shabu worth P25,000.

Catre was reportedly arrested at 1 p.m. by patrolling operatives of the Tagbilaran City Police Station intelligence section led by Sr. Insp. Erano Regidor after the suspect was seen selling illegal drugs.

The suspect allegedly sold shabu worth P500 to police poseur-buyer leading in his immediate arrest.

Four more packets of shabu weighing 8 grams and drug paraphernalia were also found in the suspect’s possession, police said.

Charges for sale and possession of illegal drugs are set to be filed against the suspect. (Weli Maestrado)
