A 33-year-old man was shot dead in broad daylight by an unidentified suspect in Carmen on Saturday, police said.
Authorities identified the victim as Adrian Vertudazo, a resident of Barangay Catalina, Sagbayan.
Based on police investigation, Vertudazo was gunned down at 10 a.m. in Barangay Alegria, Carmen.
According to the municipal police, the victim was trailed by the gunman and a companion on board a motorcycle from the town’s public market before attacking.
The suspects reportedly followed Vertudazo until a bridge in Barangay Alegria where he was shot multiple times.
In a report, police indicated that the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds throughout his body causing his instantaneous death.
Scene of the Crime Operatives recovered eight spent bullet casings fired from a .45 caliber pistol.
Meanwhile, the Carmen police continued its probe on the shooting incident and have yet to identify the possible motive behind the killing.
There were no witnesses during the incident as the scene of the crime was a remote area, police said. (Allen Doydora)
