The Christian Professional Fellowship (ChrisProFel) of the United Church of Christ in the Philippines – Dr. Graham Memorial Church, Inc. (UCCP-DGMCI) Celebrates its 28th Founding Anniversary on August 16, 2015 with Free Wellness Services as its major activity with a theme: Spirituality for the new humanity: “Doers not just hearers by getting fit for Christ, caring for those who care and attaining spiritual wellness†(1 Timothy 4:7-9; Colossians 3:23).
Said Free Wellness Services include: Blood Typing through the benevolence of the Philippine Association of Medical Technologists (PAMET)- Bohol Chapter; Foot/Hand/Back Massage through the kindness of Bohol Persons With Disability Workers Associaiton (BPDWA); and Medical Consultation through the able services of Spouses Doctors Jaime- Aida Calamba & Felix- Carmencita Lao. Church and non-church members alike availed of the said services.
ChrisProFel is an organization of Young adults and Professionals in UCCP-DGMCI, who in 1986, seven (7) young adults: Ms. Lalaine Lao-Domapias, Rev. Helen Nuez-Maniwan, Rev. Avidnigo Vallente, Mrs. Lonila Vallente, Mr. Quinbien Orgino, Ms. Iluminada Orevillo, Mrs. Cynthia Penaso-Galo felt too old to join the Christian Youth Fellowship (CYF) and too young to join the Christian Women Association (CWA) or United Church Men (UCM). The following year, the founders, formally organized and formed what is now known as the Christian Professional Fellowship with its First President, Engr. Jaime Hamac, Sr.
In its early years, they tirelessly worked and nurtured the organization’s growth, with activities and inviting new members, even establishing local assemblies in the far-flung towns of Jagna, Pres CPG, San Miguel, and Buenavista, where their efforts made the group recognized formally by the UCCP Bohol Annual Conference.
For this year, the group’s officers are: President – Jovanni D. Catada; Vice-President- Jerome C. Magallen; Secretary- Xina Ixora O. Aranas; Treasurer: Moises Karaan Jr.; Auditor- Aljer Domapias. The Founding Anniversary Chair is Almirah M. Alidon.
