Charges are set to be filed against an alleged drug dealer who was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Cortes in the wee hours of Monday.
Authorities identified the suspect as Khan Morris Lim, a 21-year-old resident of Barangay Loreto, Cortes.
Cases for possession and sale of illegal drugs will be filed against Lim this afternoon, said police.
According to Cortes police chief SP04 Josueh Longog, Lim is listed in the Bohol Provincial Police Office’s drug watch list.
The suspect’s illegal drug operations reached the towns of Panglao, Dauis, Candijay and Tagbilaran City, said Longog.
In a report, authorities indicated that Lim was subjected to a sting operation at around 2:30 a.m. in Barangay Salvador, Cortes.
Police allegedly saw Lim dealing drugs in the said village prompting them to set up the anti-drug operation wherein the suspect sold shabu to a poseur-buyer.
The suspect then attempted to escape on board his motorcycle but was immediately cornered by police operatives stationed around the buy-bust area.
Lim was allegedly caught in possession of large and medium-sized packets of shabu and drug paraphernalia. (W. Maestrado)
