According to victim Eufemia Raz, a resident of Barangay San Augustine, Alburquerque, the money was payment for their son’s tuition.

Raz told police that the incident happened at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday while she and husband Pablo were travelling from City Square to the Integrated Bus Terminal (IBT) in Barangay Dampas.

It was only upon arriving at the IBT when she noticed that her wallet was missing from inside her sling bag, Raz said.
