Another attraction has been added to the province’s slew of destinations for tourists and locals alike as Jardin Necitas, a garden filled with thousands of faux flowers that light up at nightfall, opened in Pilar yesterday.
Jardin Necitas’ main spectacle is its Glowing Garden which features 5,000 red and white roses and 15,000 tulips.
According to its owner and manager Vanessa Cubrado, the artificial flowers are LED-lighted and are spread across a 650-square meter area at a hilltop lot in Purok 5, Barangay Bagumbayan.
Jardin Necitas has a cafeteria and other attractions such as LED-lighted animals, pathways and cherry blossoms, said Cubrado.
The entire project was completed within two months and an estimated P10 million was spent for its construction, she added.
On its grand opening, Jardin Necitas reportedly drew 5,000 visitors.
According to Cubrado, she was inspired to start the project, the first of its kind in Bohol, after Cordova, Cebu’s 10,000 Roses quickly gained popularity in the region including Bohol.
