A year after it was closed, the Land Transportation Office’s (LTO) renewal center for driver’s licenses at the Island City Mall in Tagbilaran City reopened today.
The new office was inaugurated by LTO-7 operations division chief Joel Maloloy-on who was joined by personnel of the agency’s Tagbilaran District Office led by officer-in-charge Erwin Patalinghug.
According to Patalinghug, the public can now have their driver’s licenses renewed both at the ICM branch and the LTO’s Tagbilaran District Office.
The Driver’s License Renewal Office at the mall will be equipped with a Dermalog machine to hasten processing of license renewals, said Patalinghug.
The German-made equipment will start to be used before the year ends, he added.
Meanwhile, Sonia Calolo of LTO-Jagna was assigned to lead the new DLRO.
The DLRO office at ICM was closed last year after its contract with the mall expired. (rt)
