Three Miss Universe contestants including the Philippines’ Rachel Peters arrived at the Tagbilaran City Airport at 10:47 a.m. Friday to promote Bohol’s top tourist attractions.

Peters arrived together with Miss Universe Russia Alexandrova Kseniya and Miss Universe Malaysia Samantha Katie James on board a Philippine Airlines flight.

The delegates to the recently concluded Miss Universe 2017 will be visiting the tarsiers in Corella and Bohol’s white sand beaches in Panglao.

Prior to their tour, the ladies will have brunch with Governor Edgar Chatto at the People’s Mansion in Tagbilaran City.

The ladies will only be going on a short day tour as they are set to fly back to Manila this afternoon.

Peters, James, Alexndrova and several other pageant contestants led by Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters started to arrive in Manila earlier this week to promote the Philippines and its destinations.

Department of Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo initially announced that Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere along with Miss Korea, Miss Netherlands, Miss Russia and Miss Canada will visit Bohol.

However, last-minute changes were made in the lineup of Miss Universe visitors.

The DOT has not yet disclosed the reason for the alteration.
