A short day tour of Bohol was not enough for Miss Universe Russia Ksenya Alexandrova.

“I’m sure I’ll come back here,” said Alexandrova. “I’ll bring my friends here.”

Alexandrova visited Bohol’s word-famous tarsiers in Corella and white-sand beach in the resort town of Panglao as part of the Department of Tourism’s (DOT) promotional campaign.

She arrived at the Tagbilaran City Airport shortly before 11 a.m. on Friday along with fellow Miss Universe 2017 contestants, Philippines’ Rachel Peters and Malaysia’s Samantha Katie James.

According to Christopher Bongcales of the DOT Bohol satellite office, the delegates to Miss Universe 2017 were supposed to explore more tourist spots but ran out of time.

The complete tour would have taken the ladies to the Chocolate Hills and more beaches.

However, they had to catch a 3 p.m. flight back to Manila where the DOT has scheduled more activities for them including a courtesy call to President Duterte.

Bongcales said that all three Miss Universe candidates expressed intent to visit Bohol again to explore more of the province’s slew of tourist destinations.

The DOT 7 made an assurance to sponsor the ladies’ next visit to the province, said Bongcales. (A. Doydora)
