Manila – Award-winning consumer electronics retailer Poundit has announced a big sale on selected GoPro products to kick off the year 2018. More than 20 items have had major price drops, including the popular action cameras and their peripherals.
This is a welcome development for videography enthusiasts and casual users alike as GoPro enjoys a large following in the Philippines as it does for most of the world. Popular items such as the GoPro Hero 5 have gone down in price from ₱21,990 to ₱16,990. Meanwhile, the GoPro Hero 6 Travel Bundle has had its price slashed from ₱35,610 to ₱27,490.
The GoPro sale is an excellent opportunity for shoppers who’ve been on the fence about their next action camera purchases. It comes hot off the heels of Poundit’s 50 Days of Happiness promo where one item went on sale each day during the last holiday season.
With its focus on product authenticity and commitment to customer service, Poundit has quickly become one of the Philippines’ top ecommerce companies. The consumer electronics retailer recently bagged the Retail Startup of the Year award at the Rice Bowl Awards in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2015. It was also named one of Asia’s 20 “unicorn” startups in 2016.
In 2017, Poundit became the first Filipino startup to receive seed funding from Singapore-based venture capitalist firm Cocoon Capital, a SGD 10 million seed-stage venture firm focusing on early-stage, digital companies across Southeast Asia and India.
Aside from GoPro products, Poundit also retails smartphones, tablets, digital cameras, powerbanks, gadget accessories, laptops and other relevant consumer electronics products.
