Receiving the biggest grant in Bohol from Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) of DSWD, teamINABANGAgratefully received the P3.26M during the ceremonial turnover on November 10, 2015 at the Inabanga Cultural Center. The event was headed by the lady Mayor RoygieJumamoy, CouncilorJonoJumamoy, Councilor Nanette Vallente, the local officials, Emma Samaco, Municipal Social Welfare & Development Officer, barangay officials, the whole teamINABANGA, Jennifer B. Quimno, the Regional Project Coordinator for SLP, Cherry G. Merin, the Provincial Coordinator, Nestor Sarabosing, Project Development Officer, the LGU Linksand the 163 PantawidPamilyabeneficiaries for the program that formed the five associations.
The beneficiary-association from the five barangays for the program were the Bus-ok &Itlogan Ng Masa-SLPA of barangay LiloanNorte receiving P960,000 , Dagnawan-SLPA of barangay Dagnawan receiving P700,000 , Cogon-SLPA of barangay Cogon receiving P220,000 , Saa-SLPA of barangay Saa receiving P640,000 and Luyo-SLPA of barangay Luyo receiving P740,000. Hog-raising and egg production were the selected projects of the five associations.
“I am very thankful for this program for our 163 Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries as this will provide livelihood, supports the poverty reduction programs and provides a bright future for them. I just hope that with your enthusiasm, commitment and cooperation, you will give utmost importance to sustain the benefits of this program for your families and the generations to come.†Mayor Roygie Jumamoy, in her message towards the beneficiaries.
The Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) of the DSWD is a community-based capacity building program which equips participants to actively contribute to production and labor markets by looking at available resources and accessible markets.
