Public school students who lack requirements and have outstanding balances in their tuition should still be allowed to enroll during the upcoming school year.
This was the reminder made by the Department of Education (DepEd) Bohol Division through the agency’s School Governance and Operations Division chief Desiderio Deligero.
According to Deligero, the children’s parents or guardians are only required to officially assure the schools of their payment.
“Ma-enroll gihapon pero mo-comply sila…temporary enroll lang sila ug makigkita sila sa principal,” said Deligero.
Parents should also not be forced to immediately settle their outstanding balances with their respective parent-teacher associations.
However, Deligero pointed out that the payments should be made while the concerend students are still studying in the school.
Enrollment in public schools across the province are still ongoing.
Meanwhile, schools are now ready for the resumption of classes, said Deligero.
Classes for public schools start on June 4. (rt)
