The Dauis police arrested two alleged drug dealers including a man listed in the municipal police’s drug watchlist during an operation on Monday afternoon.
Both suspects were taken into police custody following a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Songculan, Dauis.
Police allegedly spotted Roland Nisnea selling illegal drugs early on Monday prompting police to set up the sting operation.
Nisnea allegedly sold shabu worth P500 to a poseur-buyer but it was his companion, Edcil Loquias, who handed the suspected illegal drugs over to the undercover police officer.
The operatives immediately arrested both men, and allegedly found nine more packets of suspected shabu in Nisnea’s possession and seven more with Loquias.
According to Dauis Police Station commander Sr. Insp. Gerald Luna, Loquias is listed in the town’s drug watchlist while Nisnea previously surrendered under “Oplan Tokhang.”
Both men are now detained at the Dauis police lock-up jail pending the filing of illegal drug charges against them for sale and possession of shabu. (wm)
