A municipal court employee was caught red-handed in an anti-illegal drugs operation conducted by the Municipal Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operation Task Group (MAIDSOTG) of Trinidad Police Station.
The MAIDSOTG conducted the buy-bust operation, in coordination with the Bohol team of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at around 11:35 pm on December 1 at purok 7 (sitio Kainggay) in Barangay Soom, Trinidad.
PInsp. Gereon Avergonzado, who led the MAIDSOTG, identified the arrested person as Oliver Maxino, also known as “Bobongâ€, a 38-year-old government employee working at a municipal court and a resident of purok 5 in Barangay Soom, Trinidad.
The MAIDSOTG confiscated from his possession, shabu worth P500 in a small heat-sealed sachet which was the subject of the buy-bust and the marked money; three more small sachets containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu placed in a Nips plastic tube container; and two disposable lighters.
The inventory of the recovered items was done at the police station for security reason, duly witnessed by Barangay Captain Rolando Ibale and Barangay Kagawad Rodierito Lantacon, and a representative of the media.
The following day, the MAIDSOTG of Duero Police Station also conducted a buy-bust operation resulting to the arrest of one Rey Mark Vallentos Bernaldez, a 22-year-old resident of Ponod Sawang, Guindulman and was temporarily residing in San Antonio, Duero nearby the police station.
The MAIDSOTG conducting the buy-bust included PO3 Jonathan Deloso and PO1 Patrick Mende under the supervision of the municipal chief of police, PInsp. Sinforiano Abayabay.
During the buy-bust, conducted in coordination with the PDEA, at around 7:58 pm on December 2 in Barangay San Antonio, the Duero police team seized a small sachet of shabu and the 500-peso bill used as marked money from Bernaldez.
Also seized from him were a medium-size sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu.
The inventory was conducted at the police station in the presence of Barangay Kagawad Narciso Rances, Barangay Kagawad Windy Sarmiento and a representative of the media.
Also on December 2, at around 4:45 am, the MAIDSOTG of Jagna Police Station arrested another drug personality in a buy-bust operation in Poblacion area.
The municipal chief of police, Chief Inspector Almirante Mutia Bacayo, identified the arrested person as one Anthony Busano, a 20-year-old resident of Barangay Tejero, Jagna.
Busano was caught handing a small sachet of shabu to a poseur-buyer for P200.
The police team recovered the P200 used as buy-bust money; and when they frisked Busano, they found from his possession, three more sachets of shabu.
The inventory of the confiscated items was done inside the police station due to the heavy rain, in the presence of Poblaciob Barangay Captain Pacheco Rances and Barangay Kagawad Gines Acebes.
