Police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents on Wednesday arrested six alleged drug personalities including a man and his 66-year-old father in Dauis during a drug buy-bust operation.
The six men were arrested through a sting operation set in motion against Jason Taladua, 34, a resident of Mayacabac, Dauis.
According to police, Jason led the authorities to his father, Mardonio Taladua, 66, and four alleged drug users as he ran from the arresting officers after he allegedly sold shabu worth P10,000 to a poseur-buyer.
The operatives chased Jason who ran towards his father’s residence. He was then cornered inside the house along with Mardonio who was allegedly in a pot session with alleged drug users identified as Dennis Cimafranca, 57; Jomar Blaso, 24; Jan Dologin, 39; and Allan Bullecer, 47, all residents of Barangay Mayacabac.
Police said that they recovered a total of 6.7 grams of shabu from all of the six suspects. The seized drugs were estimated to be worth P80,000.
According to Dauis police chief Sr. Insp. Gerald Luna, Jason previously surrendered under Oplan Tokhang while all of the other apprehended suspects are listed in the town’s drug watch list.
All six suspects will be facing charges for violations against the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (wm)
