A total of 52 police officers of the Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO) have graduated from the Criminal Investigation Course (CIC) of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
The 52 non-commissioned police officers from various police stations in the province including the Bohol Police Tourist Unit will be recognized during commencement exercises at Camp Francisco Daghoy in Tagbilaran City on Friday morning, said the BPPO’s Community Relations Branch.
The ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. prior to the installation of the new Bohol Provincial Police Office chief, Senior Superintendent Julius Gornez at Camp Dagohoy’s multipurpose hall.
All 52 graduates trained under Supt. George Vale, chief of the Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Branch (PIDMB) and coordinator of the CIC.
The CIC is the first step in the PNP’s Ladderized Investigative Training Program (LITP).
The next course for the graduates are as follows: Police Detective Course (PDC), Investigation Officer Basic Course (IOBC) and Investigation Officer Management Course (IOMC).
The PNP adopted the LITP in the field of investigation in order to upgrade the level of competence and skills of its field investigators through Memorandum Circular No. 2013-002. (rt)
