A fire which broke out early on Thursday and raged for over an hour razed two houses in Baclayon town.
No one was injured during the incident but the blaze left at least P700,000 in structural damages of both houses, said Baclayon acting fire marshal SFO2 Diomedes Butawan, Jr.
According to Butawan, the fire may have started due to electrical short circuit or electrical overloading inside a house owned by one Segundina Bugtong Oppus in Barangay San Roque.
The blaze spread to a nearby house owned by Melquiadez Maliksi.
Butawan said that the fire erupted at around 7:40 a.m. and was later placed under second alarm prompting firefighters from Tagbilaran City, Dauis and Alburquerque to also respond.
The blaze was declared under control at 8:45 a.m.
