A man wanted for illegal drug possession will be facing additional charges after he was allegedly caught in the act of selling shabu during a police operation in Clarin.

According to Clarin police chief Sr. Insp. Fernando Peroramas, the apprehended suspect Jonathan Dela Torre, 39, of Barangay Nahawan in Clarin is listed in the town’s drug watch list.

Police spotted Dela Torre as he was allegedly selling shabu prompting operatives to set up the drug buy-bust.

Dela Torre then sold shabu to an undercover officer leading to his immediate arrest, police said.

He was also allegedly caught in possession of three sachets of shabu.

The seized drugs had an estimated weight of 1. 3 grams, said police.

Dela Torre is now detained at the Clarin Police Station lock-up jail pending the filing of additional charges against him for sale and possession of illegal drugs. (wm)
