A 44-year-old married man was shot dead outside his home in Trinidad town by a still unidentified gunman on Wednedsay afternoon, possibly due to a relationship dispute.
The fatality, identified as Alberto Auxtero died on the spot due to a single gunshot wound in his head.
Auxtero, a resident of Barangay La Victoria, Trinidad was sitting at a hut when a man clad in a hooded jacket shot him in the head, said PO2 Jonathan Boncales of the Trinidad Police based on their probe.
The gunman immediately fled the scene and boarded a motorcycle which was driven by another suspect, Boncales added.
There was no slug found at the crime scene as the bullet was still lodged in the victim’s head.
According to Trinidad police chief Sr. Insp. Rufo Potane, they are looking into the Auextero’s reported relationship with a Muslim woman in relation to the crimne.
“Ato pa ning gi-tan aw karon ang atong nakuha nga impormasyon nga dunay karelasyon ning biktima sa usa ka Muslim, kay ang babae ni-apas man diri sa Bohol unya mura’g nag-tago tago na ning biktima,” said Potane.
“Wa ta kahibaw og unsay gipasalig ani niya ngadto sa muslim nga ni-apas ma diri,” he added. (A. Doydora)
