Presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio returned to Bohol on Tuesday and again endorsed the gubernatorial bid of former Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco Jr.

Duterte-Carpio also endorsed the candidacies of Evasco’s running mate Tommy Abapo and the rest of his Pundok Tinuod Bol-anon slate during a political rally held in front of the City Square along CPG Avenue in Tagbilaran City.

In March, Duterte-Carpio already endorsed the Evasco-Abapo tandem during a sortie of the Hugpong Ng Pagbabago (HnP) at the Holy Name University Oval.

After raising the hands of Evasco and Abapo however, ruling party Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan gubernatorial candidate Arthur Yap put up posters and tarpaulins showing pictures of Duterte-Carpio raising his hand.

The political rally on Tuesday has been seen to be part of efforts from Tinuod Bol-anon to clarify that their standard bearer, Evasco, is the officially endorsed candidate of Duterte-Carpio who also spoke for her father President Duterte.

“Duna tay usa ka kandidato si President Duterte dinhi sa isla sa Bohol og mao ni si governor Jun Evasco,” Duterte-Carpio said during the rally.

Duterte-Carpio however was mum on the issue of Yap using their photos for his campaign materials.

Before endorsing Evasco, Duterte-Carpio took time to campaign for the administration’s senatorial bets.

Evasco and Abapo were joined by other candidates including congressional bets former Tagbilaran City mayor Dan Lim, re-electionist Rep. Aris Aumentado and Vice Gov. Dionisio Balite who are running for first, second and third district representatives, respectively.

Candidates for Provincial Board seats Donald Sevilla, Leah Tirol and Lucelle Lagunay in the first district; Icy Besas, Mimi Boniel and Gementiza in the second district; and Board Member Victor Balite, Castanares and Noel Bongolto in the third district were also present during the rally.
