On same morning, Dauis police scored in two separate drug raids that resulted to the arrest of a cop’s brother and an ex-barangay tanod.
The first team arrested one Paolo Lopena, brother of SPO4 Quinciano Lopena—who used to be assigned at the Tagbilaran City Police Station and now at Camp Dagohoy.
The combined team of personnel from Dauis police, CIDG-Bohol, PDEA and the 4th company of the Regional Public Safety Battalion swooped down the residence of Paolo in barangay Tabalong, Dauis at around 6:30 a.m. on February 9 where they confiscated P42-thousand worth of shabu and assorted drug paraphernalia.
The 5.10 grams of shabu was placed in one big pack and two small sachets.
Paolo also yielded a cal. 38 caliber revolver and four cal. 38 caliber ammunitions.
The operation was conducted based on a search warrant issued by Judge Suceso Arcamo of the Regional Trial Court Branch 47 in Tagbilaran City.
The arrested person is now detained at the lock-up jail of Camp Dagohoy in Tagbilaran City.
The composite team of Dauis police, CIDG, and 4th company of RPSB-7 arrested another suspected drug personality in a drug raid at around 7:15 on the same morning in barangay Mariveles.
Dauis chief of police, PSInsp. Caesar Acompañado, identified the arrested person as one Peter Nisnisan, 46 years old.
The raiding team confiscated five sachets of shabu with estimated weight of 0.20 grams and estimated value of P5,000, and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Acompañado said Nisnisan used to be a barangay tanod in their area.
The raid was conducted based on a search warrant also issued by Arcamo.
Acompañado also said they tracked down the illegal activities of Nisnisan based on the information provided by concerned citizens.
The arrested person is now detained in the lock-up jail of Dauis Police Station.
