The Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps unit from the Philippine Maritime Colleges (PMI) – Bohol was recognized as the Best NROTC Unit for 2019 by the Philippine Navy, earning a plaque of merit from President Rodrigo Duterte himself.
Duterte presented the award to PMI-Bohol’s 514th NROTC through the school’s national president Atty. Angelica Brown Cloma and the unit’s commandant Commander John Barrameda during the Philippine Navy’s 121st Anniversary on June 17.
The President was joined by Department of National Defense Sec. Delfin Lorenzana during the ceremony which was held at the Naval Base Heracleo Alano, Sangley Point in Cavite City.
Cloma on Monday turned over the plaque to PMI-Bohol through a ceremony at the school’s gymnasium. (RT)
