An incumbent Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairman in a barangay in Jagna was arrested by Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO) intelligence officers for alleged sale of illegal drugs in Tagbilaran City on Wednesday night.
Barangay Faraon, Jagna SK Chairman Dexter Salarda yielded 16 grams of shabu with an estimated worth of P108,000, said BPPO Provincial Intelligence Branch deputy chief Capt. Gereon Item.
Salarda, 21, was apprehended at around 6:00 p.m. following a drug buy-bust operation behind the Integrated Bus Terminal in Barangay Dao.
He was allegedly spotted peddling drugs in the area which prompted police to set the sting operation.
Item said that Salarda was being monitored after he was included in the drug watchlist of the Jagna Police Station.
Salarda sourced his drug supply from a man who was recently released from prison, he added.
Police however did not divulge further information on the identity of Salarda’s source. (W. Maestrado)
