Police on Thursday night arrested a 28-year-old woman for alleged sale of illegal drugs during a sting operation in Maribojoc.

Maria Bustalino of Barangay Bood in Maribojoc was collared after selling shabu worth P500 to an undercover police officer during a buy-bust operation, police said.

The operation against Bustalino was set in motion after she was allegedly spotted selling shabu in Barangay Poblacion.

According to authorities, they seized from Bustalino three more packets of suspected shabu which were estimated to be worth P3,400 based on the value set by the Dangerous Drugs Board.

She is now detained at the Maribojoc Police Station pending the filing of charges against her for violations against Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (wm)
