Police seized P627,500 worth of suspected shabu and rounded up 37 individuals for alleged sale and possession of illegal drugs during a series of anti-drug operations carried out as part of the intensified drive against narcotics trade by the Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO) and other law enforcement agencies.
The drug haul, which had an estimated total weight of 92 grams, was seized in 26 anti-drug operations across the province through the BPPO’s Synchronized Enhanced Managing of Police Operations (SEMPO) from August 13 to 12:01 of August 16.
In its report to the Police Regional Office (PRO)-7, the BPPO indicated that 31 persons were arrested during buy-bust operations and six were caught in the act of engaging in a pot session. One suspect was able to evade police arrest.
The operations also resulted to the arrest of three high-value pushers at the municipal level, 21 random pushers, and 13 newly identified drug personalities.
Based on gathered police reports, the operations were conducted in various areas including Corella, Sevilla, Tubigon, Loboc, Tagbilaran City, Maribojoc, Dimiao, Antequera, Loay, Lila, Clarin and Baclayon.
