A segment of JA Clarin Street, one of the main thoroughfares in Tagbilaran City, will temporarily be closed for construction and widening works starting Monday next week.
Construction will be conducted on a 562-meter long portion of the busy road which will be closed from the corner of Jansen Heights until the corner of Upper Calceta Street.
Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) 1st District chief Engr. Francis Antonio Flores said that the project was allocated a P66-million budget by the national government.
The DPWH appealed for public understanding on the inconvenience caused by the ongoing construction.
With the temporary road segment closure, traffic congestion is to be expected in some of the alternate routes.
Those heading to the city’s main commercial center are advised to instead pass through B. Inting Extension Street, the nearest alternate route. (rt)
