The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) will recognize two honest workers of the Bohol – Panglao International Airport (BPIA), who returned items left behind by passengers.
“Plans are being made to award Malou Montalban and Christopher Horcasitas, both facility cleaners,” CAAP spokesperson Eric Apolonio told the Philippine News Agency (PNA) on Friday.
He added that the awarding of certificates of recognition might take place in the upcoming CAAP-BPIA team-building activities.
Horcasitas returned a sling bag that had three wallets with cash amounting to about P49,000 and several IDs. The bag was found in a male restroom on September 12.
The sling bag was turned over to its owner on the same day.
Montalban, meanwhile, apparently returned a smartphone she found at a comfort room last August 24.
Since the smartphone belonged to someone connected to the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP) – Tagbilaran Chapter, the group also gave her recognition last month.
Furthermore, a member of the BCBP also gave Montalban a certificate of recognition. (Ma. Cristina Arayata/PNA)
