Two robberies were reported by police in Alicia and adjacent town Candijay on Friday, with both occurring just 30 minutes apart.
In separate reports, police in Alicia and Candijay both noted that there were two motorcycle-riding suspects with one of them armed with a pistol during the two robberies.
Authorities however have yet to confirm if the two robberies were carried out by the same suspects.
Police in Alicia said that the suspects who rode in tandem on board a Honda XRM held Reymond Tagan, a lending firm collector at gunpoint while he was walking after making his collection in Barangay La Hacienda at around 12:45 p.m.
The robbers stole a cellphone and P10,000 cash.
Less than 30 minutes after, another robbery was reported in Barangay Lungsoodaan, Candijay, some five to 10 kilometers from La Hacienda.
Candijay police said that two motorcycle-men held up an Indian national who had also just collected money for his lending firm.
The suspects robbed victim Gurpeet Singh while he was filling up his motorcycle at a gasoline station in Lungsodaan.
Authorities said that suspects fled toward Alicia taking with them P10,000 which was allegedly stolen from Singh. (C. Remolador)
