A barangay tanod was arrested by police for sale of illegal drugs during a village disco in which he was among the security personnel in Loay on Saturday night.
Loay police collared Dan Dexter Pequit, 25, of Barangay Concepcion, Loay, after he was allegedly caught red-handed selling shabu to a poseur-buyer.
Police operatives under the supervision of Captain Geronimo Conarco, chief of the Loay Police Station, set up the operation against Pequit after he was seen selling illegal drugs at the village disco in Barangay Villareal.
In a report, police said that they seized five grams of shabu from Pequit.
The confiscated drugs were estimated to be worth P34,000.
Pequit was detained at the Loay Police Station lock-up jail pending the filing of illegal drug charges against him. (wm)
