Eyeing on the boom of tourism in the province, Dimiao launched “April Falls Day†with the help of Parish Youth Ministry (PYM- Dimiao) and San Nicholas de Tolentino.
Yesterday was April Falls Day at barangay Guingoyuran, Dimiao town.
Themed with “Rediscover Nature’s Beauty at Twin Fallsâ€, it is aimed at promoting the tourism industry of the town.
Proceeds will be given to the less fortunate kids for school materials this coming school year and also half of it will be used for trash cans and other cleaning materials in the falls area.
Dimiao Parish Priest, Fr. Joemari Polo already had successfully conducted Operation Clean-up and Fun Run promoting environment awareness.
Tickets were sold at Ᵽ150 inclusive of free ride from the town proper going to the falls. Tagbilaran’s Tribal Band fills the air with heart-warming tunes; while tickets at Ᵽ350 was inclusive of free lunch and free ride..
Travel time is 1 hour and 30 minutes equivalent to 45 kms. from the city and 9 kms. from Poblacion, Dimiao.
The waterfalls abound with lush vegetation giving the picturesque mountain scenery a cool and invigorating atmosphere.
Over 30 meters high, one can readily take a quenching bath in its crystal clear water while a pool catches fresh cool water gushing on the side. The largest cascade is 50 ft. high. (Janine Stephanie Salaysay)
